Camponotus Cruentatus
Camponotus Cruentatus are a large species which are commonly found within Southern Europe, they prefer to nest on forest edges. They are very resilient and hardy species, producing polymorphic workers. You’ll see large workers reaching 14mm! Queen : 14-16mm Workers : 6-14mm Temps : 24c-27c Habitat : acrylic or ytong although as there a drier species I’d recommend not overly hydrating there nest. Hibernation : November to February 15c Food : As with most camponotus they love sugary foods. Honey/ Ant Nectar - Wakooshi or Byformica / Sugar Water Proteins from Meal Worms / roaches / crickets.
