Plagiolepis pygmaea x Xene parasitic Queens
These colony’s have both plagiolepis pygmaea and Plagiolepis Xene queens. Therefore you have a mixture of colours which makes for some lovely viewing. Xene are parasitic and make there way into a nest , they’ll then have the pygmaea raise there brood and carry on living quite happily along side one another as they’ll take on the colony scent. A small species with the ability to mate within the nest. Do not underestimate these lady’s are there extraordinary at escaping. Growth is extremely fast given there size and structure.
